Inizialmente popolato da abete bianco da cui prende il nome, questa piccola altura veniva utilizzata come pascolo, successivamente venne rimboschito con il larice, che non sopravvisse ad un grande incendio del 1990 che interessò la gran parte dei rimboschimenti effettuati nella prima metà del ‘900 in Valle Infernotto. In seguito la zona venne nuovamente rimboschita ottenendo l’attuale panorama. Lo spazio è attrezzato con sedute, tavoli e indicazioni.
